An Afternoon at Beach

My wife had a shopping plan for the long weekend and I had a crave for a photo shoot of somewhere or just anywhere. The Oregon Coast was chosen to fit both of us. So we drove down to the nearest beaches on the Oregon Coast. We had been to the super popular Cannon Beach before, so we went to Ecola State Park first, in the afternoon. A hiking trail up to the Tillamark Lighthouse viewpoint was taken but it was super boring. The car-accessible viewpoint above Indian Beach is much more worthy. We then spent an hour or so at Cannon Beach until my hope for a spectacular sunset was wiped out by the dark clouds gathered above the western horizon. The campsite we found was too close to the highway to offer any chance of good sleep. The drizzle next morning thoroughly dampened my desire to stay any longer along the coast. So it was only an afternoon at the beach that was beautiful. The rest of the long weekend was all driving and shopping.
