Craving for Non-rainy Days

Vancouver winter is notorious for drizzling rain. We had such weather for weeks. On Christmas Day, however, the sun broke out from the clouds. And we couldn’t wait to head for the mountains. Despite the cloud cover, the sunset was amazingly beautiful from higher grounds. Below is a panoramic image (4 photos stitched together) of Salish Sea (the sea area between Vancouver and Vancouver Island) at sunset on Christmas Day as seen from Cypress Mountain.

And then we had another nice day on December 27. I went to a nearby park and took a lot of silhouette shots of people who came out to enjoy the rare nice weather:
